Scope is a UK charity which campaigns for disabled people's rights and provides a network of support to people with cerebral palsy.
The charity was looking to drive out excess administrative costs and inefficiency within the Payroll function - apparent through the length of time and resources taken to assimilate payroll data from across 300 dispersed locations.
SCC was selected to provide an outsourced Payroll service and targeted with delivering year on year cost savings to the charity of around 5%.
SCC's first move to improve efficiency was to capitalise on the introduction of a new email system across the charity's locations. Introducing a new Payroll management system, that took direct feed-in from email, SCC refined the process significantly. Scope's staff no longer need to waste time faxing or posting information across to Payroll. Additionally, without the need to re-input data coming into the Payroll function, SCC can offer a more efficient and cost-effective service back to Scope.
Such cost savings allow Scope to make more effective use of its vital funds and have resulted in a lengthy partnership between the charity and SCC, spanning more than eight years.
